Daddy's Boy

Max has been saying "Mama" for awhile now (and getting his way a lot when he says it!). He has not been voicing any variations of 'Dad' yet, however. This is contrary to what I have read . . . apparently most babies bust out the 'dadada' sound first. Ian has not admitted to feeling left out by this, choosing instead to focus on the fact that Max only saying my name lets him off the hook for diaper changes, feedings, etc. Two days ago, however, Max finally began saying "Dada", patting Ian on the arm and smiling while he did it. It happened four or five times in a row, enough that we are reasonably certain that Max knew what he was saying and who he was referring to. And yes, it was tear-jerkingly cute, thanks for asking.
