Yes, Max is beautiful beyond all comprehension, and yes, he is charming, but don't let him fool you. Max went to sleep last night around ten, and all seemed well until around twelve forty five, when he woke up under the impression that he was at a song-and-dance festival. For the next half hour or so, Max practiced his new and expanded repertoire of sounds (ah-eee-ba-ma-brr-pfft, and etc.), to an eclectic beat of his own invention. A fist-waving, foot-grabbing dance accompanied the burst of artistry. I read today that around seven months, babies will get so excited about their new skills that they may begin waking up at night to practice them. That's pretty great.

So Deceptively Peaceful
Yes, Max is beautiful beyond all comprehension, and yes, he is charming, but don't let him fool you. Yes indeed...he is the most beautiful baby in the universe.
Amara totally did that. When she was learning to crawl, she'd roll onto her tummy, get on all fours, then open her eyes and look really confused. At the time, it was really annoying! But it passed quickly, so try not to stress.
Chelsa and Ian, I haven't checked out your blog before and haven't gotten to meet Max in person yet, but I must agree that he sure is beautiful. It's amazing to see how big he's gotten. I forgot from when the twins learned to crawl, but now that Julia is, it's amazing how often you need to vacuum, that cat hair gets every where! Good luck and he sure does seem wonderful
